Two options make short links even more useful for campaigns: custom aliases and expiration dates. (Don't see Short Links in your sidebar yet? Enable it first in Settings → Advanced.)
Custom aliases
By default, a short link gets a random code, like htlk.me/x7f2q. Instead, you can choose your own memorable slug — for example htlk.me/my-launch — which is easier to say out loud, print, or remember.
Expiration dates
Set a date after which a short link automatically stops working — ideal for a limited-time sale, an event registration link, or any offer that should not be accessible once it ends. You do not need to remember to disable it manually.
How to set these up
- Go to Short Links and open the short link you want to edit (or set these while creating a new one).
- Enter your preferred custom alias in place of the random code.
- Set an expiry date if the link should stop working automatically.
- Save. If the alias you chose is already taken, you will be asked to pick another.
