Why Isn't My Short Link Working

If a htlk.me short link isn't taking visitors to the right place — or you can't find the Short Links page at all — work through these checks:

Can't find Short Links in your sidebar?

Short Links is an Advanced Feature and is off by default. Go to Settings → Advanced and enable it — this only affects whether you can create and manage short links going forward; any short link you already created keeps working either way.

Is the short link still active?

Go to Short Links and confirm the link is toggled on. If you paused it, visitors will not be redirected until you turn it back on.

Has it expired?

If you set an expiration date on the link, it will stop working automatically once that date passes. Check the link's settings and update or remove the expiry date if needed.

Double-check the destination URL

Open the short link in Short Links and confirm the destination URL is correct and complete (including https://). A typo in the destination will send visitors to the wrong place, not cause an error, so this is worth checking directly.

Check for typos in the short link itself

If you used a custom alias, make sure you are sharing the exact spelling and capitalization you set up — a mistyped short link will not resolve.
